| From Ken Parker: Coming soon
From Jim Flis:
Beautiful day on a big field with LOTS of rocketeers.
It doesn't get much better. The 12th leg of the Tour de Deuce took place in the
small farming community of Whitakers, NC with the help of Ken Parker. We had
probably close to 100 people in attendance, so this leg of the tour got some very good
audience participation.
Everything seemed to be going perfect until we had the ill
fated flight of Deuce #2. With only one motor burning, she turned in a
less-than-stellar flight but with little damage (which has since been fully repaired) we
still call it a success. I had a ball on this trip, meeting up with many folks from
The Rocketry Forum (TRF) as well as the host of this leg of the TdD (Ken Parker) and many,
many others too numerous to list.
It was also very exciting to participate in my 4th TdD launch
and have the opportunity to meet again the founders of this exciting project, Jason Toft
and Eugenio Cebollero. Please take a moment and enjoy this photo album, then go back
and look at all of the other photo albums for this exciting project. 12 down and 38
to go. Be sure to keep track of the schedule and please come out to your local
launch to watch the Tour de Deuce models launch in your state!
I also invite you to check out the other photos from this
launch event found in our photo album area under Whitakers 2004, or
