| Doug, put a lot of effort into
this very cool design that I have seen fly many times. Doug
provided the following information with his entry:
Hi Jim,
I do not know how many entries you got this month, but I decided to send this one.
The TITAN!!!
Built entirely out of Fliskits parts (with the exception of the Recovery System). This
beast was the first rocket to utilize the new Fliskits 1 24mm + 4 13mm motor mount
assembly. Using Two lengths of FlisKits BT-70 tubing, this beast is huge!.
I have flown the Titan twice. Once at TRF 2004 with a D12-5 and four A10-PT's. The second
time was at the May 1st CMASS launch. She flew Absolutely beautiful on a E9 and 4
A10-PT's. Video of the second flight can be downloaded here:

Special note on construction: Do not use to much glue when joining the two lengths of
BT-70 material. The Body Tube will buckle from the moisture in the glue.

RockSim 7.0 File.
Other things needed that are not mentioned in the Parts List: Recovery System, and Launch
Lugs. I chose to use a 18" nylon chute for recovery. For the launch lugs, I
opted for 1/4" inch. That way I can use either 3/16 or 1/4" rods.
Finally, the TRF thread about the Titan, which includes some construction photographs:

Let me know what you think
