Static
Probe
By: Jim Pierson

November entry #2, the Static Probe by Jim
Pierson of Washington.
The email from Jim has this to say:
Hello all at Fliskits,
This is Jim Pierson and I wish to participate in the Fliskits DESIGN OF THE MONTH
contest. I have been in rocketry for five years now and have decided to get my
designs out in the open and see what happens. This particular design I have named
the STATIC PROBE. As you can see it is a somewhat unusual futuristic design. It has
proven flight stable, however I live in the rainforest of Washington State and
recovery has proven to be a challenge. I usually stick to low altitude flights if I
want a successful recovery. Any question you have about this particular
design I will be honored to answer. Also if what I submit does not meet
the DOM entry rules, please let me know so I can correct it. I am sending the
attached pages to complete my entry.
I also want to thank all you folks at
Fliskits for all of your great rocketry designs. I have been keeping a close watch
on your progress, and I approve greatly of what you are doing. I have also noticed
Mr. Flis on the Rocketry Forum and Oldrockets Group, and have chatted with him a few
times. Keep up the good work. And by the way are you hiring part time rocket
designers?? (We have been amazed at the number
of times our wonderful customers ask us this question. Believe me, we are flattered!
Unfortunately no, we are not hiring at this time )
Thank You.
James Pierson
