NARCON 2004 - March 12-14, Kenosha, WI
Sponsored by the
Wisconsin Orgnization of Spacemodeling Hobbyists (WOOSH)

What a wonderful event. This was not my first ever
convention (having founded and co-hosted the NEMROC conventions and being heavily involved
in the Pearl River MODROC conventions), but it was my first NARCON event.
Unfortunately, as a vendor there, I simply did not have the time to participate in the
"convention" part of NARCON.
It was a great experience and was very well run by the
members of WHOOSH. I would like to thank Kevin Wickart (Director), Scott
Goebel (Facilities coordinator and WOOSH President), Gabe Kolesari
(Vendor coordinator), Pavel Pinkas (Registration), Mike Vande
Bunt (Events), Scott Hansen (Webmaster) and Dan Wolf (Executive
Officer). This fine group of people, and all of the member of WOOSH put on a fine
convention.
It was also fun to meet up with some old friends like Bob
Kaplow and Peter Alway and to visit with the many new friends I've made since starting
this venture such as Jon Hatch, Mike Erpelding, Walt Evans, and many more too numerous to
mention.
FlisKits had a very successful time out in Wisconsin.
Our vendor booth was very well received, and was busy whenever classes weren't in
session. We were able to display and talk about some new products that are coming
out, such as the Stingray model rocket kit. We were also able to
participate in the Wisconsin leg of the Tour de Deuce program with Jon
Hatch.
We came home with good sales, many new customers and several
new retailers for our products, not to mention a successful Tour de Deuce launch at the
sport launch that was going on at the same time.
On the left you will see thumbnail images with captions.
Clicking on the image will bring up a full size picture in this frame. This
photo album is of the convention only. To see the photo's from the launch, including
the Tour de Duece launch, visit the Tour de Deuce Wisconsin photo album here.
