An overall shot of our booth.  Very crowded, but then we brought a truck load of material with us.
p5041202.jpg (56775 bytes)
One of the rare times we brought our parts department with us. This did very well in the convention environment and would probably do well at NARAM as well.

Customers enjoyed the "hands-on" feel of our booth and liked the fact that they could pick up the models as well as the kits on the display rack.

A customer discusses rocketry with Jim.  I never got to ask, but that fella standing to the left, in the dark coat sure looked a lot like Howard Kune!

Kathy worked her tail off keeping customers happy, making sales, answering questions and keeping the area as clean as she could (not easy with me around)

Mark Thell brought out his 2 stage Saturn 1B model and WOWED the crowd with it.  An instant celebrity, he had his picture taken a dozen times and more.  Here we are posing together with our respective Saturn 1B models.

We had the Tour de Deuce models on display along with the souvenirs that were included from previous launches.  We had a lot of people ask about them.   Interesting point on the paint job.  You will notice that one is yellow on top while the other is blue on top.  This is one of the things that attracted much attention and many questions.  If I had been quick enough, I could have put together a quick contest to guess which paint job matched the cover art!

A sampling of Peter Alway's collection of scale models.  Without fail, scale models attract the most attention, and these were beautiful!

Kathy captured this picture of Peter Alway and I chatting about models and spacecraft in general.  It was a pleasure to have some uninterupted time with Peter in this venue.

We had several vendors at NARCON.  Here Art Upton talks with a customer. You can see his display of Semroc kits to the left.  It was nice to see Semroc represented at NARCON.
