Folks keeping an eye skyward during recovery.
p1010104.jpg (94789 bytes)
Maggie with her Richter Recker.  Notice the bend in the tube.  This is why you don't keep long skinny rockets laying in the sun.  A few hours of cooling off in the shade straightened her right out.
p1010106.jpg (76774 bytes)
A different Richter Recker (there were many of them out this weekend) takes to the air on a triplet of E9 motors.

p1010111.jpg (40305 bytes)
Robert DeHate showing me his carbon fiber 13mm 2-stage model with in-flight electronic ignition of the sustainer.  Simply incredible example of high-tech design and implementation!
p1010112.jpg (37744 bytes)
This picture shows off the small electronic components including altimeter and firing circuits.  Those units are about 3/8" in diameter!
p1010113.jpg (69031 bytes)
A 1:60th scale Patriot next to the 1:61 scale MTTM Honest John.
p1010114.jpg (58004 bytes)
Tony Vincent poses with his beautifully finished US TOG
p1010115.jpg (82699 bytes)
Another angle highlights the ram jet tubes and internal fins.
p1010116.jpg (97208 bytes)

p1010135.jpg (49878 bytes)
The NERRF3 group photo had so many people it was hard to get them all in!
p1010136.jpg (51879 bytes)
I really WAS there as can be seen in this zoomed view.
p1010140.jpg (56249 bytes)

p1010143.jpg (57021 bytes)
Ok, I found this little traffic cone at a party shop and couldn't resist.  Standing only about 1" tall she makes a perfect Micromaxx conversion.  Flew great too!
p1010145.jpg (58616 bytes)
Many launches from the HPR pads kept the action going.
p1010148.jpg (52788 bytes)
Our soon to be announced HERC-5 model on pad 5 no less!
p1010151.jpg (46589 bytes)
Here's a nice rack of rockets on the CMASS pads.
p1010153.jpg (78010 bytes)
One of the issues with this launch however was the occasional use of group launches to help clear the pads.  Here we can see two models going up.  I barely got the launch pix of the Deuce, but I got it!
p1010157.jpg (75713 bytes)
As they began to transport this massive Honest John model, I couldn't resist having the team pose with our 1:61 scale micro Honest John

p1010175.jpg (45836 bytes)
Try as we may, we could not get all 11 birds in the air at once.  First shot we got half.  Second attempt we got half of what was left, and so on, till the last launch consisted of just one lone Whatchamacallit...  We had a blast though!
p1010181.jpg (67982 bytes)
This beautiful HPR scale bird was put on display for much of the day
p1010180.jpg (52552 bytes)
An interesting angle for this bird.

A good example of how to tape up the back of the Richter Recker if you built it for standard length 24mm motors but want to use E motors sticking further out the back end.
