| Album home | Greg Faith of HobbyTown USA talks rocketry to members of a local TARC team |
Small but effective booth, business was brisk between seminars |
Lots of old collectables for sale too! |
If this table didn't make you drool, you haven't been in rocketry very long! |
Mike Kruger and the Cosmodrome Rocketry booth. |
For little kids, big kids, moms and dads. |
John Harland relaxes with some reading material |
Steve Michaels and Dick Nelson. Can't tell if they're talking rocketry or dickering for a better price! |
At the end of the day everyone mills around the raffle table getting a peek at the possibilities! |
It was the social event of New England rocketry, as it always is. |
A sneak peek at the raffle prizes. |
Day 2 brings us more rocketry! With our introduction of the NCB-70AD cone, I just HAD to try one myself, so I built up this 167% upscale of the Triskelion that I call the Trisk-D |
Oh man, this thing is SWEET in the air! Flown here on a C11-3 (strong winds - I like to fly'em, don't like to chase'em...) |
Large parachute compartment assures good deployment, though I think I would go with a 24" or 36" chute for this guy next time. |
Also got to fly my Nike-Deuce (or Smokin' Deuce) that Gordon Angelo (Sandman) gave me at NARAM. |
Always a good flight and a crowd pleaser! Thank you Gordon! |
The HERC-5 is becoming one of my favorite kits too. This one flew naked as my painted one suffered damage and needs some work. |
Good flights every time. You can see Bill Spadafora (our club President) pushing the launch button. |
I also brought out my proto-type Thumper model for some air time. |
This was supposed to be a launch picture, but there was a delay in the igniter, but not my shutter button... Great conversion of a small drink bottle with a wonderful shape. Featherweight recovery made for quick and easy prep. |
The Thumper nails a perfect flight on a C11-3 |
Also got to fly my Intruder design on a B6-4. The Micro Interloper was derived from this design which we hope to have out in 2008. |
MIke's son (I can *not* recall his name!) poses with his wonderfully finished Thing-a-ma-Jig, flight card in hand! |
Picture perfect flight! |
A U.S.S. Grissom is readied on the pad (I can't recall the name of the owner - HELP!) |
Beautiful boost, but the 'chute didn't deploy resulting in a lawn-dart. No problem though, only damage was 2 solar panels popping off! |
My mind is going! I can't recall any information about this rocket other than that it was gold... LOL |
One of the rare public displays of my Luna Loader design slated for a 2008 release |
An intricate model looking like nothing else on the field |
I missed the launch picture, but here we can see our LCO, Bob Kretch keeping an eye on her |
Perfect recovery on the soft grass |
Here, Greg Faith preps his Port-a-Pot Shot for flight |
Looks good, eh? Well, that's as high as it got. It seemed to get hung up on the pad and was, for want of a better word, a crappy flight... LOL |
The first of 2 Preator kits to fly this day. My hands down favorite kit! |
Second attempt with the Port-a-Pot Shot was a much better flight. |
Here is a nice shot of my Preator-II flying on a B6-0/B6-4 combination. This Praetor booster accessory should be ready this winter, to the delight of all Praetor owners! |
I didn't see this flight, but I heard about it... When he walked by with the wreckage, my first thought was "OH! An upscale Wacky-Wiggler!" LOL |
Boris Katan with his 8X D motor cluster! |
Picture perfect, start to finish. |
Bob Krech does some Pumpkin Chuckin' in Amesbury! |
| A "Galaxy of fun" is an understatement! |
