This picture shows how calm it was in the early part of the day. The flag laid flat against its pole for most of the morning. |
Nice display of model rockets |
One of my fav designs, the Saturn I, block C (I beleive) |
Doh! Homer screams into the air for a perfect flight |
A Richter Recker takes to the air apparently on 2 motors (if this is the RR I am thinking of) I believe it belongs to Bob Harrington. |
One of Tony Vincent's creations. Beautiful rocket with a beautiful flight |
Parents and children enjoying rocketry. That's the CMASS way! |
John McCarthy lofts an idea of his. Needed nose weight, but a cool design none the less! |
I love clusters and could not resist getting pictures of Curtis Heisey's scratch built model on pad 11 |
A close up showing the triple D power plant |
LIFT OFF! |
![]() And, yes, he did get all 3 motors lit! |
Tony with his beautiful Tres on pad 8 |
One of the better Tres launch photo's I've ever gotten |
Brian, John and Jen cut the cake |
It was a pretty cake. It was delicious too! |
A StarLoad screams on a triplet of D motors. |
One of several Thing-a-ma-Jig drag races. This was had one TamJ stay on the pad, one scream into the air and one sorta in the middle. Kind of like the 3 bowls of porridge in "The 3 bears" |
A shot of the launch crew working RSO duty and keeping an eye on a recently launched rocket. |
The Deltie, one of my favorite boost gliders |
Picture perfect boost with perfect deployment and a great glide. |
A shot of our newly announced HERC-5 takes to the air. Improper camera setting resulted in a blurry picture... |
A shot of the whole range from where I recovered the HERC-5 |
The family responsible for many of the drag races. THIS is what it is all about! |
"Cleanup on aisle 3!" Doug suffers altimeter failure and the resultant carnage. |
Very cool rocket. I have seen this before and seen other pictures of it but can never remember the name! |
One of several HPR birds that took to the air. |
For the first time in years I flew a non-FlisKits model. This is my 75% downscale of the Estes Starlight. This design was the commemorative kit for (I think) NEMROC 4 way back in the 1980. A good flier and a great crowd pleaser. |
Jim Salem's Bucky Jones ready to go |
A Shuttle Express takes to the air! |
Doug preps his recently finished PayLord for flight. |
And we have liftoff! Doug got all 3 motors lit! |
Doug treks across the field to recover his PayLord (in the upper right) |
Having some launching difficulties, Jim re-connects his igniters. |
My best launch shot of the day, as Jim's model soars by the CMASS flag. |
