Maggie and her dad Tom were a big part of the fun FlisKits had at NERRF-2!  Maggie's smile is infectious, as is her enthusiasm (and her Flyin' Irish Deuce is just gorgeous!
p1010005.jpg (59259 bytes)
We had a LOT of Deuce's Wild! models fly this weekend.  Still the trademark kit for FlisKits!
p1010006.jpg (69438 bytes)
A line of excited fliers take note of the information provided in the fliers meeting held each morning.
p1010007.jpg (71768 bytes)
Our booth (blue top and green top) was busy throughout NERRF-2.  This first day had the wind keeping our sign pointed downrange.  I fixed that on day 2!
p1010008.jpg (45415 bytes)
We had many, MANY high power flights on all 3 days.  Any help with owner, model and motor would be a great help!
p1010009.jpg (28254 bytes)
A beautifully scaled up Interceptor rips into the sky!
p1010010.jpg (12613 bytes)
Good recovery on a drogue then a main at about 500 feet.
p1010011.jpg (11775 bytes)
She looks as good at the end of a shock cord as she does at the end of a burning motor!
p1010012.jpg (28410 bytes)
One of many near-field recoveries.  These were some great flying days!
p1010013.jpg (38431 bytes)
The Decaffeinator surprised everyone with how well she flew!  Here she goes on a D12-3
p1010016.jpg (60670 bytes)"
One of the most creative and beautiful A.C.M.E. Spitfire kits I have ever seen!  And from our local town to boot!
p1010017.jpg (34186 bytes)
Drake (Doc) sends his classic upscale Andromeda into the skies.
p1010018.jpg (19650 bytes)
Beautiful recovery too!
p1010019.jpg (15508 bytes)
I just love that parachute!
p1010020.jpg (51492 bytes)
Lots of color at NERRF-2 also!
p1010021.jpg (65479 bytes)
A typical low power rack at NERRF-2.  On this rack we can see the Tres and the Corona (naked) ready to go.
p1010023.jpg (34886 bytes)
Hard as heck for me to get my camera setting right for these overcast days, here the Tres takes to the air on a triplet of C6-5's
p1010024.jpg (40767 bytes)
The naked Corona puts in a perfect flight herself!
p1010025.jpg (94376 bytes)
Yeah, they thought I was nuts...   ...till it flew!
p1010026.jpg (56826 bytes)
Bender's lips seem to be chapped.  Oh!  Wait, there's a ChapStick right there!   My MMX ChapStick turns in a perfect flight much to the delight of all :)
p1010027.jpg (91926 bytes)
Another Deuce ready for flight!
p1010028.jpg (78203 bytes)
Omar had the misfortune of having his pup (Shelby) do a "peter-pan" right into the ditch...  She was black from the chest down!  ick!
p1010029.jpg (64015 bytes)
The "Tomato Spitfire" and a Triskelion ready for flight!
p1010030.jpg (33726 bytes)
UFFO's away!
p1010031.jpg (30317 bytes)
I could scream!  I missed the launch of the "Tomato Spitfire", but was able to catch this last minute recovery picture!
p1010032.jpg (75820 bytes)
Drew's daughter shows off his modified Triskelion (yes, that kit *started* out as a Triskelion!).  Bar none, the coolest Triskelion modification I have ever seen!
p1010033.jpg (73781 bytes)
7 Deuce's ready for a drag race, we have my 24mm on pad 1, my MMX Deuce on pad 3, my "Deuce of Hazzard" 13mm on pad 4 then my proto-type (signed by Vern and Gleda Estes) on pad 5.  That looks like Tony's on pad 6 and Maggie's is on pad 7.  I can't remember who's pad 8 is... (help!)
p1010034.jpg (25072 bytes)
A lousy photo, but a kewl sparky :)
p1010036.jpg (38002 bytes)
All 7 Deuce's take to the air (yes, the MMX Deuce went too, it's just hidden in the smoke... LOL).  We also accidentally launched the model on pad 2... (sorry!)

p1010071.jpg (54432 bytes)
I also got the coolest launch scar on the 13mm Deuce of Hazzard caused by Maggie's rocket.
p1010072.jpg (85284 bytes)
It was so cool that I had Maggie sign the model and will clear coat
p1010037.jpg (42206 bytes)
Drew's Triskelisceptor takes to the air!
p1010038.jpg (14100 bytes)
And returns safely under 'chute!
p1010039.jpg (58062 bytes)
The much anticipated upscale TOG sits on the pad ready for flight.
p1010040.jpg (32713 bytes)
The high power pads were busy all day long!
p1010041.jpg (34549 bytes)
The TOG screams into the air on a D12-5.  Arrow straight flight and perfect recovery.   This will be an exciting kit release, I can tell you that!
p1010042.jpg (29184 bytes)
The TOG even looks cool under a parachute! A very nice rocket!
p1010043.jpg (87944 bytes)
Our cook!  Good food done right!
p1010044.jpg (63575 bytes)
Our dinner! mmmmm
p1010045.jpg (54530 bytes)
Young Travis spent a good deal of time at our tent and was a joy to have around.  I gave him a pencil and he noticed my MMX converted pencil.  It didn't take long before I noticed he had his pencil apart and was asking questions about the conversion.   Before long he had a flying pencil, unaware that this was his FIRST model rocket ever!
p1010047.jpg (56400 bytes)
We also had a Praetor and a Cheetah (Billy's) on the pad.  A lot of FlisKits models this weekend which is always a joy to see.
p1010048.jpg (40043 bytes)
The Praetor always turns in a good flight and looks so good in the air!
p1010049.jpg (57704 bytes)
Here Travis displays his converted pencil after a perfect flight, along with his MMX motors.  We had a fin break off but easily replace that.
p1010050.jpg (29915 bytes)
Is this beautiful or what?  I was approached last year to help with getting a foam filled (non-flying) 24mm Deuce's Wild! for this flag topper.  Best topper I think I have ever seen!  Thank you.
p1010051.jpg (66415 bytes)
The kids take refuge in Bill's truck.
p1010052.jpg (92882 bytes)
Nearing the end of the weekend, we begin to pack up some of the loose items around the booth.
p1010053.jpg (73184 bytes)
As Bill does the same.
