![]() Here Kathy and I fold catalogs in preparation for the show during our drive out to Chicago |
![]() All this emptiness soon to become our booth |
![]() It didn't take long and it looks good. Time for rest now. |
![]() Here is a close up of the display we set up for the kits we had built for this very purpose. |
![]() This is the second show they have been in, having first been shown at the HobbyTown USA show in July. These kits MADE the booth. They were simply beautiful, each and every one! |
![]() Our table top sported a welcome poster with a nice shot of Carl Tulanko's "'38 Special" launching in the background. |
![]() We were set up right across the isle from SEMROC who had a fantastic booth layout |
![]() Carl McLawhorn (SEMROC) and Bill Saindon (Balsa Machining) discuss the convention (or lunch... who really knows? LOL) |
![]() Sheryl and Kathy share a moment before the show opens |
![]() Kathy at our booth. |
![]() Here you can see the orientation of our booth with respect to SEMROCs booth. |
![]() Bruce seems to be working, or napping... There were busy moments with slow moments too. |
![]() This shot shows the identification cards we had set up for each show-kit we had built. |
![]() This close-up shows how we identify the builder of the kits. The work these builders did for us was greatly appreciated and we wish to thank them again for this help! |
![]() Bill (BMS) and our neighbor from AeroBalsa looked so much alike that I couldn't resist getting this picture! |
![]() Here, Jim describes the products to potential customers. |
![]() These last pictures are just some candid shots from Mark Bundick's home during the gathering he hosted for all us crazy rocket folk :) |
![]() There were little gatherings in every room. |
![]() The kitchen counter was always full of food, drink and every stool with people around it all night long! |
![]() Heck, there was even food in the dining room! Who'd'a thunk it!? |
![]() Carl and Tim engaged in deep discussion |
![]() And to top the night off, Bunny had arranged for a limo to bring us all back to our hotels. What'a guy! Thank you Bunny! |
![]() Ok, ok, ok. On our way home we were going through some interesting back woods in New York. We stopped for gas and I saw this. My first reaction was "you have GOT to be kidding me! A *bait* vending machine??? How redneck is THAT?". My second thought was "oh man, we have GOT to get these in my town!" LOL The number of times I have been up at 3am to head to my fav fishing spot only to discover I didn't have any bait... |
