![]() This is the upper stage of a new 2-stage rocket that FlisKits is developing. Tentatively named "Frick & Frack", this model will represent the first 2-stage flying saucer ever put into production (as far as we know!). This first flight was with the upper stage (sustainer) by itself, to verify stability. Perfect, straight boost, with a lot of spin (for unknown reasons at this time). |
![]() Her second flight was with both stages (note how the two stages interlock, giving the appearance of a single stage saucer). The upper stage contained a live but plugged motor so that we could get an accurate test flight in 2-stage configuration without the risk of a working sustainer in the event of instability. |
![]() Here is a shot from underneigth |
![]() The flight was perfectly straight with a soft tumble to the earth. |
![]() Here was an interesting mixing of kits. I beleive that this is a mini-Bertha with a Deuce engine mount! Perfect flight and a neat look to it. |
![]() Not sure of the owner nor the name, but this was a beaut! |
![]() The second flight of Frick & Frack was a full up 2-stage flight, C6-0 to C6-0. Good boost, some weather cocking downrange, but a great flight and confirmation that we had a new kit! Both stages are featherweight (aero-breaking) recovery. |
![]() Scott back at it, but with a new holiday on the way he is flying his Chimney with Santa sitting atop! I missed the launch shot of this, but it flew perfectly, as most all of Scotts creations do. |
![]() Someones beautiful clone Estes Mars Lander. |
![]() This model is so begging for pictures too! |
![]() A good boost on what I beleive was a C6-3 |
![]() Perfect deployment and a safe landing. What a wonderful design! |
![]() The Decaffeinator with the glider accessory ready for flight. This particular Decaffeinator has seen about 30 flights by this time and still going strong! |
![]() Good straight boost on a D12-3 |
![]() And perfect deployment of the glider for a slow, lazy return to earth. |
![]() This man is just sick. LOL Bill Spadafora decided to have some fun with his Micromaxx MTTM Intergalactic Man of Space by dressing him up to look just like yours truely, Jim Flis. Hat and all, dude! While I didn't catch a launch shot, he flew perfectly! |
![]() Even though October is past, I am still carving pumpkins and thought I would show them off here. This is a cornicopia I did for my wifes place of work (resturaunt) |
![]() This one I did just for fun of a friends avatar in The Rocketry Forum. |
