Liftoff of the D-Nelson Tomahawk!  A perfect flight on a B6-4.

Here she is coming down on full 'chute

Landing just a few feet short of the thick tree line!
p1010045.jpg (69343 bytes)
From the tree line, we can see the crowd gathered to fly today!
p1010055.jpg (18915 bytes)
While I missed the launch of the drake, I did manage to get a quick recovery shot!
p1010060.jpg (21091 bytes)
My MMX Crayon ready for launch.  She came off the pad and did a flip then flopped onto the ground.  A bent fin was the culprit.

An Alien8 takes to the air.  I think this was Billy's but I am not sure...
p1010063.jpg (50107 bytes)
The lines were short even though we had a large crowd.  CMASS is GOOD at moving people!
p1010065.jpg (87566 bytes)
Folks relaxed and enjoyed the day in the sun having fun!

Ally Ralston sends her Rhino up on an A8-3.  A beautiful flight with an unexpected ending...
p1010067.jpg (63800 bytes)
...it nailed the Triskelion sitting on Pad #7 waiting for launch...  No damage to either rocket and the Triskelion was launched shortly after!  Whew!

A new proto-type, tentatively named the "Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train" ready to go on a B6-4.  This model uses a similar fin design as the Thing-a-ma-Jig (Jig-TechTM) but more swept back.

I also had the Triple Threat up for a drag race
p1010071.jpg (67176 bytes)
Away goes the BWCCC, and I do mean "away"...  She boosted straight as an arrow and the proceeded to drift out over the tree line.  Bummer!

A Long OverDue puts in a perfect flight!
p1010074.jpg (55654 bytes)
Although out of focus, here is a very creatively painted Thing-a-ma-Jig on the pad waiting for a countdown.

This young boy poses for a picture with his Thing-a-ma-Jig on the pad

An interesting top-down view of my Triple Threat on their drag race launch pad
p1010077.jpg (57996 bytes)
Speaking of drag races, here are several Thing-a-ma-Jig's in the air all at the same time!   It was incredible!

One of many Triskelion kits that took to the skies today.

The Rose-A-Roc, FlisKits style, ready for launch.  I didn't get any launch or recovery pix as I needed to watch the entire flight to evaluate this first proto.   Perfect boost, deployment and exicution.  She drifted all the way to the tree line and got hung up in a tree, but we got her back!  Simply beautiful!

The Upscale TOG ready to go on a C11-3
p1010084.jpg (70047 bytes)
An interesting show showing a Thing-a-ma-Jig launching with the CMASS flag and the upscale TOG framing it nicely
p1010085.jpg (41767 bytes)
The Upscale TOG puts in a great show with a perfect flight.  We hope to have this model out in September
p1010086.jpg (50032 bytes)
Always a thrill, the Decaffeinator with her optional parasite glider boosts perfectly under D12-3 power.  Deployment was perfect and she turned in a great glide.   This glider accessory will be available in August, so keep watch!
P1010087a.jpg (89821 bytes)
The glider did a soft cicular glide that drifted towards the tree line, as can be seen in this picture.  It landed about 30 feet from the trees
p1010088.jpg (75698 bytes)
This proto of our Intruder kit put in another great flight on a B6-4.  Nice straight boost with deployment at apogee.  We hope to have this out in 2007.
p1010089.jpg (14483 bytes)
Here is a nice recovery shot of the Intruder
p1010090.jpg (17943 bytes)
And another.  She looks good in the air and on the ground!
p1010091.jpg (63266 bytes)
Nice gentle recovery too.
p1010092.jpg (77998 bytes)
This young man, with the help of his excited son, had never heard of rocketry until they read about this launch in the local paper.  They purchased a Triskelion, asked a bunch of questions, then went home to build it.  They came back 2 hours later and, with some donated motors, flew her 2-3 times and had the time of their lives.
p1010094.jpg (48273 bytes)
And here their Triseklion puts in a perfect flight having been assembled just moments before!
p1010096.jpg (14168 bytes)
Great recovery too!

Here, another father/son team get their rocket preped for flight!

A rather interesting pano image showing the whole crowd and cars that came to this fun event.
